Navistar has an exciting new opportunity for a Project Engineer – Embedded Systems Release Coordinator at our WHQ in Lisle, IL.

 

Navistar Embedded Systems organization is responsible for the full development lifecycle of vehicle systems including conventional truck systems (chassis, body, powertrain, HMI, etc.) and with additional focus on emerging technology development in ADAS and Electric Vehicle technologies. System development and definition is based on customer, legal, technical standards, or internal specifications for mechanical, electrical, and software elements of defined systems. This position is part of the Systems Engineering team and will work closely with the electronic hardware, mechanical hardware, software engineering, and system integration/test teams to coordinate flow of work through the Embedded Systems organization.

Responsibilities Manage intake process of change requests into Embedded Systems organization from internal/external stakeholders.Coordinate and facilitate systemization activities, including domain led scope definition, effort estimations, work package decomposition, scheduling, and resource allocation.Utilize Jira to manage and track change requests from intake to domain backlog population.Implement and improve release processes to optimize efficiency and quality.Development of appropriate documentation to support process compliance.Participate in domain led issue resolution activities during development, validation, and throughout product lifecycle.Utilization of Embedded Systems development tools and processes.Problem solving and implementing solutions to the Embedded Systems change management process at Navistar site level and Traton global level. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 5 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience

OR

Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 3 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience

OR

PhD in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science  Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
