Salary Range: $75,000 - $115,000 + Bonus Benefits and 401k match Position Summary As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the design, permitting, and construction admin/management phases of water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. With your expertise, you will review plans, specifications and calculations and will make design decisions on your projects. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong background in civil or environmental engineering, capable of making critical decisions and providing technical guidance to project teams. As a smaller company, we are able to allow each engineer to work on a wide variety of projects, rather than focusing very narrowly on one aspect of design or one type of project. Key Responsibilities Lead in the design, permitting and construction admin/management of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects using industry-standard software and methodologies. Lead the planning, design, and implementation of civil engineering projects, focusing on water, wastewater, and stormwater systems. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion. Conduct comprehensive project reviews and analysis to ensure adherence to technical specifications, regulatory compliance, and best engineering practices. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and project teams, fostering strong professional relationships. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and staff, promoting a culture of learning and professional growth within the team. Oversee the preparation of engineering documents, including reports, drawings, and specifications, ensuring high quality and accuracy. Leverage a team of Project Assistance for the completion of project tasks. Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution. Between 4 years to 9 years of experience in civil or environmental engineering, with a strong focus on water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing engineering projects, with a track record of successful project delivery. Proficiency in industry-standard software tools and technologies related to civil and environmental engineering. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with an ability to manage complex projects under tight deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with diverse groups of stakeholders.
