American Structurepoint, Inc. seeks Project Engineer in Indianapolis, IN.  Hybrid position allowing for work from home 1 day per week after 1 year of service.

Responsibilities

Duties of a Project Engineer in our specialized Traffic Group includes managing, performing, and reviewing the following tasks:

 

Perform Traffic Analysis Studies;Perform Traffic Modeling and Microsimulations;Perform Traffic Safety Studies; Perform Traffic Signal Design using State and/or Local Guidelines and Manuals;Signing and Pavement Marking Design using State and/or Local Guidelines and Manuals;   Lighting Design using State and/or Local Guidelines and Manuals;      Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Civil Works Design using State and/or Local Guidelines and Manual;Traffic Signal and Signal Systems Design through various DOT and MUTCD requirements;Traffic Signal & Lighting Design through various DOT and AASHTO requirements;Traffic Data Collection, coordination required with outside firms to provide material information required for job needs;Traffic Management Plan (TMP) Development;Perform Traffic Impact Studies, Signal and Interconnect Design, Traffic Control Design, Traffic Data Collection, Signal timing;Perform engineering tasks using specialized software tools such as: Synchro; SimTraffic; Arcady; PTV Vistro; PTV VISSIM; Highway Capacity Software (HCS), Sidra Intersection, Institute of Transportation Engineer (ITE) Web-based TripGenApp; Road Hazard Analysis Tool (RoadHAT); MicroStation, AutoCAD, GeoPAK; Guidesign; Visual Lighting, AGI32 Qualifications

Requires: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 2 years of Traffic Engineering experience.
