CGH has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join the CGH Team.\n

Purpose:\n

This position will provide engineering design and construction oversight for FAA District locally implemented projects and coordinate with airport sponsors and other FAA entities on District and reimbursable project implementation when requested. This engineer will work closely and coordinate with the FAA NAS Planning Teams within the ATO Planning and Requirements Groups (PRG), Engineering Services (ES), System Support Centers (SSCs), Districts, and the local Airport District Offices (ADOs). This engineer will provide engineering support to the districts to support locally implemented Bipartisan Infrastructure Legislation (BIL) projects (those projects being implemented by the SSC without ES involvement). This Engineer will also assist in design oversight of Airports reimbursable projects as needed. This type of support will involve creating and reviewing engineering packages, coordinating with vendors, and overseeing onsite work.\n

Responsibilities:\n

The following duties are normal for this position. Other duties may be required and assigned.\n\nProvide engineering support to Districts for locally implemented projects\nProvide engineering support for locally implemented BIL projects\nPerform Site Surveys\nDevelop Statements of Work (SOW) and Design Plans\nDevelop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE)\nPrepare Project Risk Plans (PRP) and facilitate Operational Risk Management (ORM) activities with the local SSC\nCoordinate and oversee implementation work\nCoordinate with vendor providing services at the District level\nServe as construction oversight engineer when needed on project \nWhen requested, provide onsite project oversight and coordination for reimbursable projects\nProvide quality assurance on reimbursable projects\nReview sponsor documentation and plans\nReview designs from airport sponsors\/consultants\nOversee construction activities on reimbursable projects\nCommunicate project status updates to PRG and other stakeholders\nCoordinate construction activities\/runway closures with the airport authority\nCoordinate flight check activities\nSchedule flight checks\nCoordinate outages with the SSCs\nParticipate in reimbursable discovery meetings\/process to assist in activities such as:\nScope development\nCost estimating\nImpact analysis\nWork closely with local Airport District Offices (ADOs) and ATO NAS Planning Teams to effectively support these reimbursable projects\nCoordinate closely with ES to ensure quality assurance\n\n\n\n\n\n

Qualifications \n\n\n\n

Number of Years Experience Required:\n\nThe position requires 4-7+ years of engineering experience. Preferable disciplines include Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Structural Engineering. \nExperience with the FAA is preferred. \n\n
\n

Minimum Education and Certifications Required:\n\nBachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited school is required. Preferable disciplines include Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Structural Engineering. \n\n

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:\n\nU.S. Citizen or person with valid U.S. Work Visa who has lived in the U.S. for 3 or more years. \nMust meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust security clearance.\n20% Occasional travel required as needed by client\/s and\/or company\nThe position requires a strong background in engineering. \nAnalytical and critical thinking capabilities are essential. \nThis position requires effective problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication, a highly collaborative team player, solid knowledge of software tools, independent thinking, and superior time management capabilities. \nFAA experience and knowledge of the NAS are highly desirable.\nMay require occasional light lifting of up to 10 pounds.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear and use a computer\/keyboard\/mouse for several hours on a daily basis. \n\n

he hiring range for this position is $60,000 - $130,000\/year based on relevant experience and position requirements as determined by the customer parameters. \n

Candidates selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.\n
