Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.The work model for the role is: hybrid based from our Daresbury, Cheshire headquarters. {#LI-hybrid}This role is contributing to the Marine Service & Digital product group for the Marines & Ports division in the UK. Main stakeholders are clients as a primary point of contact, internal teams, and external contractors.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tPlanning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects within the defined scope, budget, and schedule.•\tParticipating in the design and development of project components.•\tEnsuring that all project activities comply with company standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.•\tCommunicating project status, issues, and risks to clients as well as addressing feedback and making necessary adjustments to project plans•\tProviding regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status and comprehensively documenting progress reports, design documents, and technical specifications throughout

Qualifications for the role

You are highly skilled in engineering principles and project management methodologies.You have established and advanced skills in project engineering with knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.Adept in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera.You are passionate about problem solving and {working collaboratively in a team environment.You hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.You are at ease communicating in English.
