The key objective of this role is to oversee various aspects of a specific project to achieve its goals efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities may include engineering design, quality planning, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
We're looking for a candidate with practical knowledge or familiarity with civil projects. Moreover, the chosen candidate will collaborate with a competent and effective team, gaining continuous project experience that enhances their technical and project management skills. The successful applicant will ideally have:
Degree in Civil Engineering 2 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the contractor engineering space Previous experience in concrete structures projects desirable Strong communication and people skills Strong computer and systems skills and knowledge Ability to adapt and be reacting to change, and to plan accordingly Pass a pre-employment medical and D&AKey Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications. Prepare project-specific documentation such as method statements, MDRs, plans, and other necessary documents. Offer technical advice and support to the project delivery team to ensure the successful achievement of project objectives. Actively inspect project activities to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and QSE standards/best practices. Assist the Project Manager in overseeing construction, operations, or maintenance activities at the project site. Guide and actively participate in surveying tasks to establish reference points, grades, or elevations for construction purposes. Collaborate with the Project Manager to assess the quantities and costs of materials, equipment, and labor, thereby determining the project's ongoing feasibility. Identify and resolve issues by following the appropriate processes, such as Technical Queries (TQs) or Requests for Information (RFIs). Regularly perform quality audits and work on improving any identified shortcomings. Supervise designated construction, operations, or maintenance activities as assigned by the Project Manager. Maintain project controls, such as registers, as directed by the Project Manager. Direct or participate in surveying activities to ensure accurate construction. Monitor procurement activities to ensure they meet both commercial and quality objectives. Undertake project administration tasks as reasonably required, including the preparation and review of timesheets, project reports, etc.About Us
