Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Description

The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting projects with new and current customers on greenfield and brownfield projects. They will support the process from sales, design, manufacturing, and installation. Travel will be required to sites about 30% of the time.- Design system layouts and create elevation view drawings using AutoCAD (25% of the time).- Work with suppliers to obtain quotes on conveyance equipment.- Assist PM with project schedules, ensuring projects stay within budget and discussing any scheduling restraints.- Collaborate with Controls Engineering, Software Engineering, and Project Management teams to define system descriptions and layout operation, commissioning, and acceptance testing documents.- Work alongside the sales team to provide them with layouts.- Complete engineering calculations to ensure the conveyor systems will operate and perform as expected once installed.- Integrate various equipment types into each project, including storage retrieval machines, conveyor, racks, mezzanines, specialty equipment, floor rails, etc.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Grand Rapids, Michigan and some days remote.

Work Environment

Hybrid work environment. 2 days in office mandatory and 3 days from home unless otherwise needed for site work or notified by supervisor to be in office. Standard working hours are 8-5pm.
