Project Engineer
Job Description: Project Engineer

In this role, you will interpret order documentation including detailed customer specifications to determine the scope of work and project plan. You will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, design execution, and performance to budget and schedule from inquiry through start-up. Your tasks will include writing detailed work instructions to support field installation and creating detailed, sub-assembly, assembly, and installation drawings necessary to satisfy the order scope. You will perform engineering tasks using established procedures, create equipment layouts, undertake all necessary mechanical and structural calculations to confirm designs and generate final mechanical and structural designs.

Responsibilities Responsible for all mechanical and structural design activities necessary to support the modification and modernization of products Interpret order documentation Search company archives to find records of legacy equipment Perform engineering tasks Create equipment layouts Create detail, sub-assembly, and installation drawings necessary to satisfy the order scope Write detailed work instructions Responsible for scheduling, project planning, design execution, and performance to budget Responsible for legacy product lines Skills & QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field Understanding of machine design and structural engineering practice Knowledge of welding and machining Proficient with SAP, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Experience interpreting order documentationProject planning and scheduling experience Mechanical and structural calculations experience Experience creating equipment layoutsDesign execution experience About Actalent
