Description: Lead and coordinate implementation of new process/product initiatives, as well as savings improvements in the processes. New initiatives such as new artwork, fragrances, material changes, changes in process, etc. Coordinate full projects for new production lines or site expansion. Coordinate important project related items as resource allocation, schedule review, capital investment vs budget, etc. + Coordinate Projects of new lines or plant expansion using Project Management tools. Typical activities during a new line Project: resource allocation, schedule review, capital investment vs budget, etc + Be direct contact with customer for the control and coordination of new initiatives by holding conferences or meetings on a weekly basis. + Carry control and follow up on new initiatives with internal team and customer. + Receive or download customer specifications from your quality system to start the process of implementing new initiative + Keep product specifications up-to-date based on customer-shared information. + Develop work plan for each initiative until its implementation. + Quote new initiatives in conjunction with purchasing, key account and finance area. + Definition of flow of new manufacturing processes (Layout) by calculating the number of operators required. + Calculate the cost of equipment required for a new process (Capex) in conjunction with Process Engineer and Engineering Manager when applicable. + Coordinate the quotation of new products together with Key account Manager + Develop component specifications for making product quotes. + Develop BoM and documentation needed to produce new initiatives and take over master data uploading in SAP. + Preparation of Operation Instruction of New Manufacturing Processes (Process Sheets). + Coordination of validation of new equipment to be required (TSPR). + Definition of production ramp in start-up of new products or process, as well as their monitoring. + Coordinate the pilot runs of Engineering and Production with the departments involved, taking care of open and timely communication + Supporting the solution of product design, process design or quality problems + Coordinate the establishment and standardization of product quality criteria. + Coordination of approval of supplier samples. + Support savings initiatives Education: Industrial, Mechanical or Related Engineering Experience: Minimum 5 years of industry experience in similar positions in similar field company Specific knowledge: • Great knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes • Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing tools • Knowledge of ERP Systems (SAP) • Autocad 2D • Computer fluent About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
