Your Impact at SAM The Project Engineer supports the Project Manager and may serve as primary point of contract for construction contractor and client representatives managing contract administration and construction engineering and inspection (CEI) operations of highway and/or bridge construction projects per DOT contract documents, procedures, specifications and manuals. Through the Project Manager, provides recommendations to client regarding work progress and payment and provides oversight and review of SiteManager activities to ensure compliance with contract. This role requires contact with client, typically a governmental agency and private entities including construction contractors. Review, and interpret plans, specifications, and other construction documents for clarity, completeness, construction sequence and constructability Facilitate continuous coordination between all stakeholders Assist the Project Manager in organizing and conducting the pre-construction meetings Chair weekly construction progress meetings as appropriate Coordinate with Project Manager to monitor CEI budget.
