Job Description
In this position, you will interpret order documentation, including detailed customer specifications, to determine the scope of work and project plan. You will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, design execution, and performance to budget and schedule from inquiry through start-up. You will write detailed work instructions to support field installation and create necessary detail, sub-assembly, assembly, and installation drawings. Additionally, you will perform engineering tasks using established procedures, create equipment layouts, undertake necessary mechanical and structural calculations, and generate final mechanical and structural designs. This role involves supporting the modification and modernization of electric overhead cranes for Region Americas.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the Product Lines – Legacy EOT and Portal Cranes.Interpret order documentation including detailed customer specifications to determine scope of work and project plan.Search company archives to find records of legacy equipment and read legacy equipment mechanical and structural drawings.Perform engineering tasks using established procedures.Create equipment layouts and undertake all necessary mechanical and structural calculations to confirm designs.Generate final mechanical and structural designs.Create detail, sub-assembly, assembly, and installation drawings necessary to satisfy the order scope.Write detailed work instructions to support field installation.Responsible for project planning, scheduling, design execution, and performance to budget and schedule from inquiry through start-up.Essential SkillsMechanical engineeringSolidWorksWeldmentsProject engineeringSheet metalAutoCADAdditional Skills & QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience with overhead electric cranes or similar industrial equipment, OEM.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum 5 years of experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.Familiarity with CMAA and ASME B30 standards.Minimum 5 years of experience with welding and machining.Work Environment
This position requires 10% travel.
