This position reports to

Senior Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.•\tEvaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments. •\tProvides technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities. •\tPrepares project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables. •\tActively participates project meetings and resolves any outstanding •\ttechnical issues to meet contractual obligations. •\tAssists in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering •\tprojects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.). •\tApplies basic Design Thinking / Design for Excellence concepts in projects. •\tActively utilizes checklists to perform design verification according applicable standards and engineering guidelines. •\tContributes and shares experiences in workshops pertaining to engineering design, tools, and processes. •\tShares best practices Lessons-Learned documentation across different projects and disciplines. •\tEnsures that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. •\tSupports technical risk assessments and implements resulting actions for one’s projects. •\tReports any contract / safety / quality / program / cost issues to Project Manager(s) for resolution.•\tEnsures Bill of Material (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations; and project gross margin requirements by not generating Project Left-Over Material (PLOM)•\tIdentifies and implements variation requests to support contract claims based on the approval from Project Manager or team leader. •\tFollows work plans and cost estimates provided by the Project Manager or team leader and ensures quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost.•\tCollaborates with the Supply Chain function and the Project Manager(s) to meet the contractual obligations. •\tCoordinates with Manufacturing and Testing functions to ensure the technical solutions are appropriately manufactured/ staged and tested. •\tUpdates the engineering deliverables as-built.

Qualifications for the role

\tBachelor degree or above Electrical Engineering\tTwo plus years experience in electrical engineering or project management, ABB experience is preferred, familiar with ABB low voltage MNS switchgear and ACB circuit break.\tElectrical design Relay protection, factory power supply，power system or equivalent knowledge. Full understanding of engineering process and rule.\tCET-4 and above Good English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills\tHave strong communication, coordination and team work ability and self-motivated, can independently deal with, analyze and solve problems.
