Project Engineer
Essential Functions: Preconstruction/Estimating · Participate in post-bid, buyout, verifying prequalification’s and CCIP requirements, coordination, subcontractor, staff, and scheduling and meetings. · Assemble information such as unit prices, hourly rates, material costs, material availability, etc. Productions/Operations · Assist APM and/or PM with updating schedule as required · Assist with short-range scheduling by confirming manpower, material deliveries, or supplier availability. · Assist team with tracking of field work orders, changes, change order requests, and any incident that may be considered a cost event. · Prepare, expedite, and monitor logs for tracking shop drawings, submittals, requests for information, change orders, material delivery logs and other as determined necessary for a successful project. · Assist with basic review of submittals and confirm they are to Specifications and ensure revisions are made prior to resubmission. · Actively work with Subcontractors to make sure they have all necessary information for project coordination · Possess basic knowledge of all project plans, specifications, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings, submittals, and all other project related documents. · Assist PM and Superintendent with expediting and confirming on-time delivery of resources and material to site. · Assist PD, CM or PM with generating directives or communications, prepare meeting minutes, memos, and letters as assigned by direct report. · Assist PM, CM and PD with proactively obtaining punch list and follow-up on completion of work. · Assist with monthly site safety reviews of current project safety conditions, share results with, and recommend any course of action to the Project Manager and Superintendent. · Document potential schedule delays and promptly notify team. · Inform Project Manager in a timely fashion with regard to any and all problem areas on the project. · Maintain good relationships with the Owner, Architect, Engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, municipal authorities and Company personnel involved with the project. Qualifications/Required Experience: · Preferred 4-year degree in an accredited construction related curriculum, (BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, etc.) · Prior internships or cooperative education experience is preferred. · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). · Experience in working in Project Management Software applications. · Competent in PC-based scheduling and spreadsheet applications (i.e Primavera, Procore, Timberscan, Excel, Word, P6 etc.) · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
