Job Description: Project Engineer
The Project Engineer is responsible for the mechanical design and development of sheet metal products. This role involves working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, manufacturing, and quality teams. The Project Engineer will review customer specifications, complete the design, alert purchasing about required materials, update the BOM, and release the design into production. The engineer will focus on various branding solutions, including LED signage and scoreboards, by designing and creating different variants using Solidworks.
Responsibilities
+ Mechanical design and development of sheet metal products
+ Collaborate with sales, marketing, manufacturing, and quality teams
+ Review customer specifications and complete the design
+ Alert purchasing about needed materials
+ Update the Bill of Materials (BOM)
+ Release the design into production
+ Design and develop various branding solutions, such as LED signage and scoreboards, using Solidworks
+ Emphasize product development
Essential Skills
+ Project management experience
+ Proficiency in Solidworks
+ Mechanical design skills
+ Knowledge of sheet metal and metal fabrication
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or relevant experience with an Associate's Degree)
+ At least 6 months of Solidworks design experience with sheet metal or structural steel
+ At least 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with sheet metal fabrication
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with EPDM software
+ Detail-oriented
+ Experience with electro-mechanical products
+ Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Drafting experience in AutoCAD
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $68000.00
