Job Description
We are seeking an independent and autonomous Project Engineer to manage construction projects of various sizes and complexities from pre-construction to project closeout. The successful candidate will use company processes and procedures to ensure projects meet or exceed planned profits. The role requires a deep understanding of project management processes and tools, including project scheduling, financial reporting, budget management, and project communications.
ResponsibilitiesManage all financial aspects of projects.Listen to client and subcontractor concerns, identify issues, and react accordingly.Provide conceptual information to groups to illustrate ideas and concepts.Facilitate and lead productive and effective meetings.Prepare project baseline schedules and schedule updates throughout the project lifecycle.Track project financial budget versus actuals and manage accordingly.Track field productivity estimates versus actuals and make course corrections to protect labor budget and project profit.Take ownership of project safety, including conducting weekly audits and incident investigations.Identify project impacts and delays, notify as per contract documents, and prepare detailed documentation to submit claims.Solve problems by understanding root causes, developing solutions, and implementing them.Comprehend complex project concepts and manage them for success.Travel overnight 3-4 days per week throughout the Midwest.Essential SkillsProject managementConstructionConstruction managementProject schedulingFinancial reportingBudget managementProject communicationsDesignRFIChange ordersProject engineeringAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree1+ years of experience in a related field
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $120000.00
