Job Description
The successful candidate is an experienced, results oriented, hands-on contributor who will manage projects that drive manufacturing performance in safety, speed, waste reduction, cost reduction and quality. The Project Engineer will be able to cover projects across western NA and primarily responsible for ensuring projects are delivered to defined scope, on-time, and within budget using the company’s project management framework and methodology.

When You Join Us, You Will;
Manages projects from conception and design to fabrication, installation and commissioning. Typical projects would include infrastructure upgrades and improvements to systems that support production enhancement of quality or quantity.
Obtains project quotes, recommends contractor awards and directs contractors in the timely and accurate project completion.
Provides cost, risk and return analysis as required for project approval.
Tests/commissions newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications.
Develops and executes plans to address all facets of plant operation including environmental issues, cost reduction, equipment installation, optimizing utilities and energy consumption and other items to keep the plant running smoothly and generate measurable benefits to the plant operation.
Coordinate with other functions in plant compliance to all environmental laws and regulations. Interfaces with governmental and corporate auditors. Environmental programs/areas include hazardous materials/waste management, environmental noise and lighting management, air quality management, storm water and training of plant personnel in same.
Troubleshoots equipment operating issues and recommends short-term and longer-term resolutions.
Travel as required.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering.
Multi-disciplinary knowledge of engineering and an ability to innovate using practical, economical solutions and/or strategies.
Extensive project management experience from inception, planning to completion is required.
Strong written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team is required.
Technical skill categories focusing on, e.g., piping, pressure vessels and machinery.
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing projects in a manufacturing setting along with a proven track record of measurable results. A high-speed continuous process manufacturing background preferred.
Experience with Autodesk, AutoCAD, Inventor or other computer aided design and drafting software is required.
Experience with MS software including MS Project.
Sound knowledge of TQM and TPM methodology
Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and/or API is preferred.
