ResponsibilitiesWork directly with the Project Management team to help manage and estimate construction projects.Complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.Review drawings for correctness.Assemble miscellaneous details necessary to prepare job bid proposals.Develop relationships with sub-contractors and interact with them to secure necessary information for job bids.Support Project Manager in collecting the necessary information to complete the monthly Work in Progress (WIP) report.Assist with projecting and adherence to job budget and timing of tasks.Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and surfacing issues to be resolved. Interface with sub-contractors as necessary to meet schedule.Control project costs by recommending expenditures and administering contractor contracts.Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions.Travel to job site locations when necessary to review progress and provide solutions to challenges.Assist in maintaining a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.Maintain project database by updating our construction systems.Be available to support the Project Manager to answer any customer inquiry.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Responsible for project financials, administration, implementation, management, and customer satisfaction for all assigned projects.Manage the implementation and management of HVAC equipment projects and be accountable for assigned projects' scope of work, schedule, etc.Manage a portfolio of projects that could contain both smaller and larger multi-building or complex construction projects.Manage project scope, cost, schedule by reviewing contract documents, holding internal meetings, establishing customer expectations, identifying risks, and developing mitigation plans.Compare estimated ship dates with contractor’s project schedule and ensure compliance with internal equipment ordering processes.Maintain the accuracy of the forecasted cost at completion and control expenses by monitoring assigned project budget.Essential SkillsProject managementConstruction managementCommercial constructionHVACMechanical engineeringProject engineeringEstimationProject schedulingDegree in Construction Management or EngineeringAdditional Skills & QualificationsElectrical or Mechanical Engineering or Construction Project Management DegreeExperience with Project Schedules / PM Construction SoftwareStrong, demonstrated customer service and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills, proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a teamAbility to meet tight deadlines within a high-paced environment with attention to detail
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $48.08
