Project Engineer

If so, this is the role for you. As Senior Project Engineer you will support the delivery of capital projects within the Site Engineering project group. This role will provide project engineering expertise to manage projects that support various functional groups within a GMP environment. These responsibilities include some of the following: Plan and manages the project delivery process for projects, from typically Feasibility to Handover & Close-out to assure an outcome which meets all of the defined project objectives for cost, schedule, quality (fit for purpose) & safety and delivers the business benefits. Manage multiple GMP / GEP projects concurrently across different function groups. Ensures the project team, stakeholders and sponsors are leveraged to successfully deliver projects and escalates for support when needed. Coordinates the support of external vendors, manufacturers, and construction contractors. Understands the roles, responsibilities, and expertise of other specialists within organization, and knows when to engage these specialists. Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle documentation including deliverables for engineering, project, safety and quality areas. Performs technical reviews/evaluations of engineering / contractor proposals and recommends solutions. Prepares engineering estimates/budgets for new or modified facilities, equipment, and processes. Responsible for ensuring that all construction and installation work is done in accordance engineering, safety and quality standards. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor of Science in Engineering 5-+ years of engineering/project management experience Project Management roles dealing with production equipment design/deliver and/or facility infrastructure expansion or reinvestment. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Specialization in one of the following: Mechanical, Electrical, Civil/Structural, Instrumentation & Controls 5-10 years experience post graduation, predominantly cGMP environment in PM disciplines (project controls, project engineering, validation, construction and safety, procurement of equipment / goods, contractor selection / management, etc,). Sound technical expertise and a proven track record in project/ maintenance engineering over a significant period, with a focus on the application of a particular technical expertise to pharmaceutical dose forms or factory utilities. Professional Licensure (PMP, PE) Teamwork, Organized, Customer Focus, Decision Making, Influencing Experience with SAP, MS Office, MSProject, AutoCad Lean Sigma Green Belt About the Zebulon Site GSK’s Zebulon site is a global supplier of Respiratory and Solid Dose medicines to patients around the globe and the largest GSK Pharmaceutical secondary manufacturing site in North America.
