**Job Title: Project Engineer**
**Job Description**
Plans, organizes, manages, and is responsible for all document control and distribution processes and systems for the Planning, Design & Construction (PD&C) Department. This includes handling all construction project-related documentation received from and sent to the contractor, architect, and internal staff, from initial planning and early development of a project through its completion. The role involves meeting regularly with all parties involved to track the status of construction projects, preparing meeting agendas, recording, and distributing minutes summarizing matters discussed and actions approved. Additionally, the role involves scanning, distributing, and filing documents, verifying and correcting project-related documentation, and maintaining effective communication with construction and contractor management teams.
**Responsibilities**
+ Plan, organize, manage, and control document processes for the PD&C Department.
+ Meet regularly with all parties involved to track the status of construction projects.
+ Prepare meeting agendas and record and distribute minutes.
+ Scan, distribute, and file project documents including designs, drawings, specifications, and estimates.
+ Verify and correct project-related documentation as needed.
+ Ensure document control and distribution systems are accurate, clear, and complete.
+ Maintain effective communication with construction and contractor management teams.
+ Provide initial review of pay applications, change orders, and other construction documents.
+ Perform other project engineering and project management-related duties as needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2-3 years of experience in construction, design, or construction management.
+ Strong documentation and follow-up skills.
+ Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
+ Construction experience required.
+ Ability to organize and complete project documentation.
+ Fluency with computer skills.
+ Experience with project management tools.
+ Knowledge of CAD systems, CAFM, estimating, cost control, and scheduling.
+ Knowledge of technical and professional requirements in healthcare delivery, architecture, building design, and construction.
+ Ability to read drawings and schematics.
+ Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree
+ PMP certification preferred.
+ OSHA-10 certificate preferred.
+ Experience with tenant improvement projects.
+ Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
+ Familiarity with project scheduling and facility systems.

**Work Environment**
This position is based in an offsite facility in Menlo Park, associated with the main hospital. The department includes EH&S, facilities, maintenance, and construction teams. The business unit, Project Management Office, oversees all tenant improvement projects for the main hospital. The position operates Monday through Friday, starting at 7am, with a business formal dress code.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menlo Park, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00
