Project Engineer
**Job Overview:** APTIM is pleased to announce an immediate opening for a **Project Engineer** in our office to support our exciting portfolio of projects. This candidate will support solid waste facility design, landfill gas collection and control system (GCCS) design, stormwater modeling and management plan development, site grading, and construction quality assurance (CQA). **Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:** + Preparing site and grading plans, GCCS design, pump and piping plans, and conceptual layouts for solid waste projects + Conduct field inspections and construction quality assurance (CQA) oversight + Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications + Prepare regulatory compliance reports, work plans, and special studies + Understanding applicable regulatory requirements + Performing detailed technical analyses of complex issues + Developing scopes and budgets + Collaborating with other team members + Assisting project managers + Attending client meetings + Providing other duties as required **Basic Qualifications:** + BS/MS in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent sciences. + 4 to 8 years of experience, including landfill and GCCS design + Proficient experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D + Experience with LandGEM and KYPipe + Engineer in Training (EIT) designation from the NCEES + Ability to work on multidisciplinary project work + Excellent oral & written communication skills + Ability to work in a team environment + Self-starter and problem solver + Excellent organizational skills + Physical work the ability to lift 50 pounds will be required **Desired Qualifications:** + Professional Engineer (PE) License, a plus + Possession of 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training with current 8-hour refresher certificate a plus. **ABOUT APTIM** APTIM is committed to accelerating the transition toward a clean and efficient energy economy, building a sustainable future for our communities and natural world, and creating a more inclusive and equitable environment that celebrates the diversity of our communities.
