We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead cross-functional engineering teams in the development, qualification, certification, and integration of aircraft interiors. The ideal candidate will manage requirements, ensure compliance with internal and external standards, and document various program activities. You will work closely with program management, design engineering, certification authorities, and other team members to achieve reliable and elegant solutions.
Responsibilities
+ Lead a cross-functional engineering team to develop, qualify, certify, and integrate aircraft interiors to meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
+ Manage requirements including compliance deliverables to customer and internal requirements documents, as well as validation and verification of system-level requirements.
+ Document various program activities such as risk management, earned value, resource management, decisions, action item capture and closure, and stakeholder meetings.
+ Ensure that development activities are executed in compliance with the Program Development Plan, all applicable Standard Work, and procedures.
+ Collaborate with program management, design engineering, certification authorities, and other team members to achieve elegant and reliable solutions.
+ Manage costs, schedules, and risks associated with the program.
+ Perform critical path analysis and implement work-around plans to ensure timely project completion.
Essential Skills
+ Aerospace experience
+ Certification experience including working with FAA, EASA, or designated representatives
+ Previous experience in engineering, product development, operations, quality
+ Proven experience with presenting to customers and leadership
+ Program Management skills including IMS development and Earned Value
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in composite materials and ability to lead engineering efforts around Lavatory Panel Design & Certification
+ Experience in electronics and ability to lead engineering efforts around Lavatory Electronics including systems wiring and lighting components
+ Ability to lead a furniture development effort
+ Support a waste water project
Work Environment
This position is full-time and onsite, with a schedule of 8am to 4:30pm (flexible with start and end times). Overtime may be required depending on business needs and prior approval from the manager.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $90.00
