Job Title: Project EngineerJob Description The Project Engineer assists the Project Manager with the planning and daily execution of our projects. This role is responsible for maintaining certain aspects of the project schedule, as assigned by the Project Manager, by managing the process of submittal approvals, coordinating the timely delivery of materials, and maintaining schedules and budgets to ensure projects are completed with quality, profitability, and while complying with our Safety/Zero Harm culture. Responsibilities + Manage project financial responsibilities + Assist with preconstruction services + Oversee project start-up and scheduling + Handle RFIs (Request for Information) + Manage change orders + Coordinate submittals + Handle project administration, coordination, and close-out + Promote customer relations + Foster company culture, leadership, and employee development Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field + 2+ years' experience within a general contractor in commercial construction + Experience performing RFIs, submittals, and close-out procedures + Project management + Construction management + Change order management + Project engineering + Commercial construction experience Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field of Engineering + 1+ years of experience in commercial construction Work Environment Candidates will be working onsite at a project in the greater Seattle Metro. Must be comfortable with commuting to Renton, Seattle, Bellevue, etc. The work environment includes opportunities to support large projects for prestigious clients. The company promotes a strong team culture with internal events such as team-building cruises on Lake Union and night skiing groups. New hires are assigned a 'Balfour Buddy' at peer level to help them get onboarded and answer any questions. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
