How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

As a member of the Product and Process Development team for Airgas Therapeutics, the Project Engineer is responsible for new capital projects to enhance our capabilities, as well as, projects to support the operational team.

Development and validation of the incoming inspection and/or chemical analysis of raw materials or finished products in accordance with current Good Laboratory Practice (cGLP's). Develop and validate as required by each project, according to individual project schedules. All validations must be compliant with FDA regulations, as measured by QA acceptance of protocols and reports, and by zero remarks by auditors on any developed protocols. 

Implement new manufacturing and analytical equipment into process. Identify equipment needs by working with specific users, specify equipment selecting best quality/service/price, complete CAR requirements, order, install, and validate per cGMP requirements. Executes projects in accordance with project management procedure including design review, hazards analysis, MOC, PSSR and SOP development and operator training.

Develops engineering packages for bid (RFQs) that result in fair and accurate pricing from vendors and eliminates, as much as possible, field change notices.

Coordinates or conducts construction and project installation. 

Facilitate the resolution of manufacturing and/or Quality Systems processing problems, on as needed basis. Report results to supervisor and individual area group leaders. 

Participate in the development of new products and/or new product applications. Serve as a member of each project team as required, completing tasks as required by each individual project plan. Tasks may include filling stability studies, analyzing studies and tracking studies for analytical periods. 

Take full responsibility for the MIS system, creating new product codes, reviewing customer requests, writing and reviewing MIS’s, and ensuring 100% correct MIS’s are created. 

Maintain a clean, organized and safe environment.

Complete all training activities successfully and on time.

College degree in technical or scientific discipline. Combination of coursework and experience acceptable.

Experience and skill with compressed gas manufacturing and/or analysis preferred.

Project management ability, including excellent communication and leadership ability.

Ability to maintain environment of rapid development.

Ability to travel for new manufacturing evaluations and sales calls.

Computer skills, including knowledge of operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets and CAD.

Detail oriented, with strong organizational skills.
