DESCRIPTION
Tutor Perini Corporation is looking for a Project Engineer to support the construction process on the Division 20 Portal Widening project. This job includes administrative support, monitoring budgets, resources and communicating directly with Superintendents and owners concerning project cost, staffing, and scheduling. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: training and mentoring office employees; planning, assigning, delegating and directing administrative work; managing document flow; and resolving contractual issues. This position reports to the Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, Construction Manager or other assigned supervisors.
**RESPONSIBILITIES** **:**
· Assist construction through administrative of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget.
· Manage submittal process and procedures. Ensure timely review and submission.
· Manage RFI Process and procedures.
· Manage differing site conditions and resolution.
· Ensure project files are being updated and maintained.
· Represent company in project meetings, assist in labor negotiations/strategy meetings, etc.
· Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Client.
· Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives.
**REQUIREMENTS:**
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent required.
· 3or more years of experience and knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management required.
· Must understand fundamentals of contracting and have familiarity with large scale mass transit projects.
· Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
· Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities is vital.
· Superior communication and interpersonal skills such as tact, diplomacy, influence, etc. are essential.
· Must be a business oriented person.
**Expected salary range for this position is $110,000 - $120,000 depending on experience.**
