Project Engineer Opportunity- New Castle, IN Description This company manufactures seats and interior components for cars, motorcycles and recreational vehicles. They have facilities in Ohio, Alabama, Nebraska, Texas, Indiana, Canada, Brazil and Mexico, with a team of over 7,000 Associates total. This facility focuses in seat manufacturing and assembly. This is a very nice facility and a large building. At this location, there is around 600 employees across all departments. This company is looking for a Project Engineer to join their engineering team. This role is a new addition that was just approved due to 2 new production lines that are coming into the facility in 2025. One of these lines is in process of being brought in right now, and the other will be brought in within the next 6-12 months. Additional responsibilities are listed below: Job Responsibilities + This Project Engineer will be part of the Kaizen group and working to implement processes that will improve the overall efficiency of the plant. + At this current time, many of the projects will be related to new product line launches. This position could handle up to 20 projects at one time (they could range from a 3 week small project, to bringing in a new production line that will take months. + You'll keep track of scheduling, monitor the projects as they move forward and keep teammates on task, and ensure they are progressing as they need to be to completion. + Design a part for a fixture (this would be done in Solidworks), and will also work hands on with the equipment in the facility and needs to have the ability to troubleshoot and edit PLCs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must Haves: - Associates or Bachelor's degree in Engineering - 3+ years of experience in a Project Engineering/Management role in a manufacturing environment - Previous experience troubleshooting & editing PLCs (preferably Allen Bradley) - Previous experience working with CAD software (preferably Solidworks & Autodesk) Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $43.27/hr.
