Project Engineer
Description Job Title: Project Engineer Job Summary: The Project Engineer plays a vital role in supporting construction projects by managing material procurement, document control, and maintaining positive client relations. This position requires strong problem-solving capabilities, organizational skills, and the ability to balance multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. The Project Engineer collaborates closely with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to meet project deadlines. They coordinate with purchasing for on-time material deliveries and support design/build initiatives alongside the engineering team. Attention to detail and effective communication are critical in overseeing project specifications, processing change orders, and representing the company professionally. Responsibilities: + Manage material procurement and tracking, document control, estimating, and client relations. + Provide operational support for construction projects, from small-scale jobs to larger assignments. + Review project drawings and specifications to ensure project alignment. + Create and maintain submittals and submittal logs. + Assist with producing and processing RFIs (Request for Information). + Collaborate with the purchasing team on material procurement, perform quantity take-offs, and use tracking tools to ensure timely product deliveries. + Handle change order pricing and track field work orders and proposals. + Support the engineering team with design/build project efforts. + Attend project and on-site field meetings as needed. + Coordinate schedules between field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and manufacturers. + Build positive client relationships by understanding their needs and providing timely responses. + Manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. + Adhere to job site and company operating procedures and safety guidelines. + Represent the company in a professional, responsible, and safe manner at all times. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam. + Experience with Accubid Trimble is preferred. + Strong problem-solving skills focused on achieving positive resolutions. + Highly organized with excellent documentation skills. + Strong research and analytical abilities. + Awareness of inventory and supply chain management is a plus. Education and Experience: + High school diploma or GED is required.
