In this Project Engineering role, you will serve as a Control Account Manager (CAM) on the Avionics team and your duties will include:
Perform Control Account Manager (CAM) duties for the Avionics Production Control Accounts (CA).
This includes leading, planning, budgeting, and managing the cost/schedule/technical performance for each assigned Control Account.
Effectively manage control account performance, elevate concerns and issues where appropriate to program management, including other impacted control account managers.
Work with partnering organizations (Planning and F&BO, supply chain, PMP (Parts, Material and Processes), quality, etc.) to ensure all processes are appropriately followed and implemented to ensure smooth product flow throughout the life cycle.
Identify cost threats and develop opportunities, bringing them forward to the Program Manager and Leadership for review and integration into the Threats and Opportunities database.
Develop and implement mitigation plans for threats.
Conduct regular and thorough cost performance and variance analyses, manage cost and schedule performance mitigation activities, and manage corrective actions. Provide timely and accurate insight to key program impacts or opportunities to the Program Manager.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of parts procurements, headcount challenges, resource constraints, safety, and quality issues.
Complete all Earned Value Management assigned duties to include work authorization requests, estimate at complete reviews, schedule status, variance reporting, comprehensive estimates at complete, and proposal tasks.
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• Previous CAM (Control Account Manager) and/or finance project lead/management experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) responsibilities.
• Skill proficiency to include:
o Earned Value Process
o Authoring monthly variants
o EXCEL (Pivot Tables/Vlookup)
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing and negotiating Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for Change Requests or Proposals.
• Risk and Opportunity Management experience.
• Experience conducting internal and external customer audits.
• Demonstrated understanding of Program planning and management of complex program issues.
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD
TOP SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:
• 2+ years of previous CAM (Control Account Manager) and/or finance project lead/management experience with Earned Value Management responsibilities.
• Desire to enhance Program Management skills including communication, the ability to deal with unforeseen challenges, and building strong relationships.
• Proficiency with MS Project
• Working knowledge of SAP (ability to trace demand, hardware orders, etc)
• Understanding of engineering processes (engineering release, requirements definition, design, analysis, verification)
• Understanding of production processes and work flows.
• Accept responsibility, accountability and exercise authority to ensure cost, schedule, and technical success.
