Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Description

We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our team supporting the Everglades Restoration Program. The Project Engineer will report to the Project Manager and will handle submittals, requests for information, daily reports, coordination between subcontractors, and provide support to the Project Manager and Project Superintendent. The initial project will be a large pump station project for the SFWMD.

ResponsibilitiesManage submittals and requests for information.Prepare and maintain daily reports.Coordinate between subcontractors.Support the Project Manager and Project Superintendent.Periodically update job progress reports, submittal log, and 4-week look ahead.Assist with running the project in the absence of the Project Manager.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.2+ years of experience on civil or mechanical construction projects.Experience with RFIs, submittals, material take-offs, blueprints/drawings, field inspections, and reading elevations.Excellent computer skills with preferred experience in P6 Software, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar software.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and/or South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) is a plus.Work Environment

The Project Engineer will work on-site at the trailer near EAA Reservoir on Highway 27. They will report to the Project Manager and work alongside another Project Engineer, as well as a team that includes quality control, site safety, superintendent, and administrative staff. The position is exempt, typically working from 7 AM to 4 PM (or 4:30 PM), with occasional weekend work depending on the schedule and weather. Appropriate safety attire including a hard hat, steel-toe boots, work pants, company shirt, safety vest, gloves, and safety glasses is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $38.46/hr.
