The Project Engineer will be responsible for leading transportation design projects from concept through completion. This position requires a mix of technical, project management, and interpersonal skills to ensure successful completion of tasks within budget and time constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage project teams in the completion of various transportation design projects. Define project scope, budgets, schedules, and resource requirements. Perform engineering calculations, feasibility studies, cost estimations, and other technical tasks related to the project. Supervise and coordinate the work of team members and review their work for accuracy and completeness. Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and laws. Conduct meetings with internal and external stakeholders and keep them informed on project progress. Prepare and review design drawings and specifications using CADD, TxDOT, Microstation Design, and Civil 3D. Manage and monitor project costs. Evaluate alternatives and make recommendations for the most cost-effective design solutions.

Qualifications:

BS in Civil Engineering or related field. At least 5 years of experience in the design and/or construction of transportation projects. Knowledge of ABET, EAC, and other applicable codes and regulations. Experience in task leadership and project management. Proficiency in CADD, TxDOT, Microstation Design, and Civil 3D. Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas or the ability to obtain one. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines. Benefits
