Wärtsilä Energy Business is now looking for a Project Engineer - Electrical to provide technical solutions, supervision of ordered services, purchasing, quality, contract / requirement compliance, customer satisfaction, schedules and budget of duties assigned to him/her.
Location: The position is offered on a permanent basis and the successful candidate will be located in Navi Mumbai - India.
As a Project Engineer you will:
Accountable for performing the project work in compliance with Company Project Management Methodology and Business Directives. Accountable for reporting periodically status of his/her responsibility area to his/her superior.
Main Responsibility
Safeguard that works under own responsibility area are executed according to contract / requirements, specifications, instructions, and policies. Plan the works with the total costs, schedule, and customer needs in focus. Manage project activities according to contract / requirements together with external vendors and internal team members. To be a representative of the company and act as representative of the Chief Project Engineer when requested. Participate in customer / stakeholder negotiations when needed and maintain good customer / stakeholder relationships. To follow-up and report quality, use of resources, costs, schedule and scope of the responsibility area. -Identify, mitigate, monitor, and report risks in own responsibility area. Development responsibilities: Participate in developing and maintaining of tools and methods in own responsibility area. To give and collect feedback regarding technical solutions and complaints. Provide lessons learned initiatives for developing issues in own responsibility area. Specify and initiate purchase and design activities within own responsibility area Participate in negotiations with internal and external stakeholders as delegated by the Chief Project Engineer and/or the Project Manager Approve and release project deliverables of own responsibility area to the customers/stakeholders.
Desired Technical/soft skills:
BE or ME in Electrical or Automation Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience. Support project and sales teams with project specific Electrical & Automation design Carry out and co-ordinate assigned project activities, integration engineering and technical correspondence with internal team members, vendors, customers and cross functional stakeholders. Create project specific technical specifications and design requirements for purchasing purposes Carry out sub-supplier delivery and quality follow ups Act as stand-in for Chief Project Engineers Support site team during installation and commissioning Development responsibilities Participate in developing and maintaining of tools and work methods in own responsibility area To give, collect and handle feedback regarding technical solutions and complaints Being self-going, having team working skills, motivation to learn and grow professionally and willingness to travel as well as ability to understand and work with diverse cultures. Ability to communicate in English.
