Project Engineer/Field Engineer
Ultimate LLC has an immediate need for a **Project Engineer/Field Engineer** in (Nashville TN). Travel within Nashville on a weekly basis, but no overnight stays. **Salary is $50-$85k, depending on experience and interview results.** Our client, a Nashville based Heavy Civil/Water/Wastewater Construction Company, is seeking qualified candidates to fill an immediate position as Project Engineer/Field Engineer. Project Engineer Duties: Project Engineer duties include all support functions related to construction of one or more projects. Candidate must be able to successfully organize, manage, log, and monitor project documents (plans, specifications, RFI's, submittals, as-built documents, etc.), administer subcontract and material deliverables as assigned, and provide general support to the project team. Construction monitoring tasks include interpretation of construction drawings, understanding of the construction process, measurement of work in place, quality assurance, field observations, development of RFI's, and problem solving. **Field Engineer Duties** : Field Engineer duties include assisting the Superintendent and the Project Manager with coordination of work, scheduling, quality control, materials tracking, and safety procedures. May be responsible for control layout (horizontal and vertical) for the Project, electronic as-built survey, keeps a neat field book that shall be turned in and filed with the project files, provides weekly quantities for completed work. **Qualifications** : B.S. in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field of study is preferred but not necessary. Strong written and oral communication skills are required. Detail and task oriented with strong work ethic. You need to possess the ability to think practically in order to solve office and job-site problems and interface effectively with superintendents and senior project personnel. Applicant must have excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Auto-Cad, and familiarity with scheduling (Primavera, MS Project) and estimating quantity take-off and pricing. **Benefits** : Company benefits include paid vacation, paid holidays, health and dental insurance, vehicle allowance, bonuses, 401k matching and profit sharing.
