As a Project Engineer, you will:

• Support the Ground and Flight Test Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead in planning and execution of work scope and Program execution

• Ensure that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures, schedules, and work plans

• Coordinate the planning, organizing, control, integration, and completion of Engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility

• Ensure Engineering is coordinated across Program and suppliers

• Support Ad hoc tasking by Program Technical Leaders

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to perform one or more of the following: manage cost, manage schedule, or manage technical scope
• Knowledge of program lifecycle and how early achievements may drive future costs
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Final Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience in one or more flight science (Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics, Mass Properties, Loads & Dynamics, Stress, etc.) disciplines with demonstrated ability to work with modeling tools appropriate to flight science discipline.
• Project management
• Experience throughout engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test and operational deployment)
• Positive demeanor, accountable and responsible and able to work in a team-focused, dynamic environment
• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change
• Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, with the ability to lead multi-functional teams, build strong relationships with team members and build consensus among peers
• Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
