The Senior Project Engineer will manage and lead Capital Projects for the High Point facilities utilizing Axalta’s Project Process from objectives development through commissioning. Reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, the Senior Project Engineer will have ultimate responsibility for the safety, cost, and schedule of their assigned projects. He or She shall have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to develop and maintain working relationships with key Stakeholders, and the capacity to handle and prioritize multiple complex tasks.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with production, maintenance, and EHSS resources for development of project scope and corresponding safety reviews.Coordinate process mechanical, electrical, and civil design with in-house and contracted resources.Develop equipment specifications, construction scopes of work, commissioning plans, and budgets.Perform project financial analysis for economic justifications.Maintain project schedule by monitoring milestone progress, coordinating activities/trades, and resolving problems through Stakeholder engagement.Maintain project budget by monitoring purchases, construction, and commissioning costs.Manage daily construction activities and facilitate project start-up.Maintain project design and commissioning documentation.Support the site’s Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives.Perform other duties as assigned to support safe and reliable operations.Required:Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.Minimum of 10 years’ Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment.Chemical Manufacturing Process Experience in a PSM Covered facilityExperience in Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).Preferred SkillsExperience with SAPAbility to utilize AutoCADExperience facilitating PHA’sPLC and Controls TroubleshootingAbility to work and communicate effectively: at all levels of the organization; both individually and within a team environment; both written and orally.Ability to utilize data effectively for an objective assessment.Ability to adapt to evolving priorities based on business needs.High level of personal motivation, with a drive for ownership and accountability in performance of job responsibilities.Commitment to the highest level of integrity and ethical standards.Our Company:
