AECOM is hiring a Project Engineer for their Highway Engineering Team in Burnaby, BC. We support flexible work location including remote and hybrid models. **Primary Responsibilities:** Act as Professional of Record (PoR) for their respective qualifications. Project manage engineering designs and perform Coordinating Professional Engineer (CPE) role for the coordination of interrelationships between engineering disciplines. Coordinate the work of the PORs for the preparation of the Design, including the tender and contract documents and collect/submit PORs authenticated documents. Ensure Field Reviews for the Designs of each POR are arranged and carried out, and that appropriate documentation is submitted to the project. Ability to perform field reviews and/or coordinate site construction activities ensuring compliance with contract documents and design intents. Ensure Record Drawings are produced and Authenticated by the PORs, and that the originals are submitted to the project. Leading/assisting with the development of project scope, schedule, and budget. Providing assistance and/or directions to engineering staff in the preparation of regulatory requirements, permits, environmental assessments and stakeholder consultation. Develop project specific design specification and criteria including use of CAD and other software. Conduct/attend/lead client and public meetings. Assist/prepare/direct correspondence, engineering and status reports, and specifications. Implement corporate policies related to quality management, sustainable legacies and support AECOM’s vision, values and key business development priorities. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or applied science. + Minimum 4 years experience in transportation project planning, design, engineering and construction preferably in Western Canada. + Licensed Professional Engineer, P. Eng. in British Columbia (EGBC) or eligible for registration within 3 months of the start date. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Ideally 5 plus years of experience. + Knowledge of BC Provincial Standard Specifications, Master Municipal Construction Documents, National and BC Building Codes. + Knowledge of applicable design standards and codes including those published by Transportation Association of Canada (TAC), BC Supplement to TAC, BC Ministry of Transportation and Transit’s (MOTT) Standard Specifications for Highway Construction and Major Works Contracts. + Ability to interpret and apply Motor Vehicle and Transportation Acts, highway engineering policies, practices, procedures, standards, and regulations in BC to projects. + Experience with AutoCAD, and Civil3D and other roadway design software would be an asset. + Professional of Record on transportation and infrastructure projects in Western Canada. + Project management training, certification or experience delivering transportation and infrastructure projects would be an asset. **Additional Information** + Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
