Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks an experienced engineer to join our team based in Dubai. The candidate should have good experience in power system automation, design, software, integration and IEC61850 protocols.
The successful candidates must be a fluent French speaker. As a Specialist Commissioning in Engineering Services, you’ll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.

As a Specialist Commissioning, a typical day might include the following:  

Possesses, understands and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of power system focus perform commissioning and site acceptance testing in the field, train and assist customers with installation, commissioning, and operation of devices and SEL related products.

Train and assist customers with the creation, design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning and operation of protection systems.

Complete and implement assigned work within agreed upon scope, schedule and budget to a high level of quality and safety.

Participate in the preparation of functional design specifications.

Prepare and maintain detailed design documents, reports, checklists, test reports, and deliverables.

This job might be for you if: 

You hold B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline

Have 2+ years relevant application experience with electric power systems, industry practices, and perform commissioning and site acceptance testing in the field, train and assist customers with installation, commissioning, and operation of devices.

Have a good knowledge of electric power system protection and control, integration automation and communications applications

Are willing to travel both domestically and internationally a minimum of 80% based on focus area

You are a fluent French speaker
