Collins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to support its Power & Controls organization. We’re looking for an experienced professional, like you, to accept a high level of responsibility within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. In this role you will lead and oversee engineering activities associated with components’ supply health reviews, end of life processing, last time buys, manufacturer documents maintenance and metrics for the Obsolescence Management Department (OMD) of Power & Controls. As an Obsolescence Project Engineer you will communicate with various program offices, engineering and other members of the team to provide support. You should be comfortable working independently and organizing cross functional teams to increase efficiency and collaboration. 

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

Present to Engineering and Program ManagementProcess initial End of Life (EOL)Support components supply health reviewsCreate last time buy (LTB) summary reportsUpdate contract manufacturer filesManage and maintain OMD SharePoint pageCreate monthly metrics (data mining)

Qualifications you must have:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experienceDemonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering fieldExperienced with MS Access, Team Center, SAP, Excel (MS Office Suite)Previous experience with Obsolescence Management tasksCompetent computer skills with the ability to learn how to use new programs/applications easilyUnderstanding of Project Management practices and conceptsProduct Life Cycle knowledge
