As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in executing projects for our Advanced Technology (AT) business unit in Phoenix, Arizona. You will be accountable for contributing to the successful execution of projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget, and that they meet required quality standards. Your project management skills will contribute to the success of our projects and the overall growth of our business as you foster operational excellence and a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
This role is in support of the US Army’s Total InteGrated Engine Revitalization (TIGER) program for Honeywell’s AGT1500 turboshaft engine – the powerplant for the M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank. TIGER is an integrated program focused on the sustainment of the AGT1500 engine, in part through the implementation of Engineering upgrades of engine hardware and digital engine controller software.
As a Project Engineer on this program, you will primarily coordinate with technical teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective project development and execution. This includes coordination within Engineering and may also include work with Field Service Engineers, Overhaul Support Engineers, team members from the ISC (including the Demand team and Sourcing), the D&S Sales team and the product line GBE. You’ll also collaborate with US Government customers, including Technical Representatives and Product Managers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Execute engineering projects from initiation to completion
· Understand project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
· Implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
· Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
· Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
· Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery
· Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders

YOU MUST HAVE
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
· 3+ years of experience in project engineering or related roles
· Proven track record of successfully executing engineering projects on time and within budget
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment across functions
· Experience in risk management and problem-solving
· Technical expertise in the relevant engineering discipline
