MSA has an opportunity for an Project Engineer - Land at any of our Wisconsin offices (Baraboo, Beaver Dam, Madison, Milwaukee, Appleton, Kiel, Marshfield, Rhineland, Rice Lake), Dubuque, IA, St. Paul, MN, or Duluth, MN. You will have the opportunity to see, and contribute in, projects from start to finish. The various projects you'll be working on make a significant and positive impact on the communities you serve. This position will primarily support agricultural projects.

Responsibilities

The work you will do

Preparation of agricultural design plans using AutoCAD and Civil3D software for swine, dairy, beef and poultry Preparation of details, specifications, and bidding documentsPrepare of regulatory permits for projectsComplete technical reports for projectsProject management and client liaison opportunities available Experience in finding and developing clients is a plus or a strong desire to help grow the agriculture engineering services market Qualifications

What you bring
Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Biological Systems Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Civil, Biosystems & Agricultural Engineering, or related degree required 4 or more years of agricultural engineering experience requiredWisconsin PE License required (or ability to quickly obtain)Previous experience with NRCS standards and specifications requiredThe ideal candidate will have experience with agricultural livestock systems design experience including swine, animal housing, waste storage, pumping stations, and piping systemsAuto CAD Civil 3D experience preferredPrevious client liaison and management experience a desire to step into rolePrevious project management training and experience developing projects through construction.Prior work and management experience on a farm would be a plusExperience completing Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plans would be a plus.This position requires you have authorization to work in the United States for any employer. We will not provide sponsorship for this position.
