Description:With a focus on productivity, the right resource will lead CI efforts targeted toward performance excellence implementation, enterprise culture, streamlining existing processes, optimizing cycle times, reducing errors, sustained results and improving customer satisfaction as identified by the business strategy. This resource will also provide mentorship to many organizational projects by sharing best practices and knowledge around continuous improvement tools and methodologies, project management and team leadership. This individual must be able to quickly understand the business in order to recommend improved, strategic and sustainable solutions as well as identify further opportunities for improvement. This role partners closely with senior leadership and requires high proficiency in clear communication, navigating political landscapes, change management, and the ability to effectively influence with limited authority.

Job Functions/Responsibilities
• Drive strategic cross-functional continuous improvement organization within Performance Excellence, consisting of program and multi-functional organizations focused on improving efficiencies and cost reduction (flow)
• Position will work with all aspects of LM to clearly support defining projects, business impacts, ROI, communication and closure of initiatives and drive metrics for measuring business improvements using Continuous Improvement methodologies, and business processes management principles
• Effectively engage continuous improvement team members across the organization to foster business transformation. Work with leadership to coordinate the appropriate human and operational resources.
• Track status of all impacting projects in the organization, provide visibility to management in a powerful and consistent manner. Introduce credible methods to improve clarity and effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or related technical field
• 12+ years of relevant work experience
• Demonstrated understanding of process improvement techniques and extensive experience implementing change within an organization
• Demonstrated success in leading teams, implementing change and process improvements
• Black Belt, minimum
• Significant experience in a manufacturing, program, engineering or supply chain environment
• Up to 50% travel
• Proven expertise with multi-million dollar portfolio savings
Desired Skills:
• Proximity to Lockheed Martin facility for increased in-person engagement
• Analytical mindset and proven ability to develop business cases (example ROI)
• Prior project management experience
• Ability to drive results and be action oriented in change environment
• Formal process improvement training and certification, black belt certification
• Strong listening, verbal, and written communications skills
• Experience in technical data management
• Experience in program management
• Strong project management and organization skills
• Detail oriented with excellence written and communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $135,800 - $256,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
