These products are used in commercial, infrastructure and industrial applications to protect people and property. Basic Job Function Victaulic is seeking an Electromechanical Engineer to join a fast pace, cross functional team in the development of machine tools.  The Engineer’s responsibilities include developing new product concepts and prototypes, designing and testing mechanical and electronic systems and improving existing mechanical systems.  A successful candidate can draw on a wide range of engineering principles and are driven to explore unchartered territory. Skills and Qualifications BS / MS in Mechatronics Engineering or similar with 2+ years on work experienceStrong mathematical, analytical, and creative thinking skillsWorking knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls and rotating machineryStrong mechanical and hands on aptitudeProficient with creating 2D and 3D drawings (Preferably Solid Works)Perform mechanical design analysis and calculationsAbility to work in a team or independentlyUnderstanding and working knowledge of resource planning toolsKnowledge of metallurgy and manufacturing processes is a plusEngineer Responsibilities: Designing, developing and enhancing electro-mechanical systems and mechatronic devicesCreating automated systems and the software to control themConducting research, documenting findings, and presenting reports at meetingsDeveloping design documents for electromechanical parts and final productsLead comprehensive design reviews with senior staff and SMEsAttending workshops, training sessions and conferences to network with others and stay on top of field advancements.
