Project Engineer Senior
Position Overview International Corporation, a leading North American truck manufacturer with great products, a strong market position and best-in-class distribution network, has an exciting new opportunity for a Project Engineer Senior to join our Proving Grounds Team in New Carlisle, IN. the Project Engineer will support outside customer testing. This role is 100% onsite. Responsibilities Work directly with customers to develop and execute test plans to match NPG capabilities. Prepare testing quotations based on customer provided information. Coordinate, schedule, and track vehicle test activities primarily for external and also internal projects Issue daily or regular status reports as required by customers Document and assist with resolution of test issues Assist with procurement of test related hardware and equipment Direct the work of technicians and drivers on assigned projects Collect and analyze data using strain gages, accelerometers, etc. Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests. Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed. Interpret and apply customer procedures, specifications, drawings, etc. to projects as required Write incident reports, and final test reports Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science At least 8 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities OR Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science At least 6 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities OR PhD in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science At least 3 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Vehicle Testing experience preferred Data Acquisition experience preferred. Vehicle Noise Testing experience a plus.
