Project Engineer Senior

As a Project Engineer Sr, we are seeking a candidate with experience in coordinating planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility\. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications\. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases\. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems\. • Has experience in Configuration Management \(CM\) processes, procedures, and tools\. The candidate will be supporting the FBM program implementation of new and existing hardware Configuration documentation requirements\. The CM candidate should have a sound understanding of CM life\-cycle activities and how to appropriately apply the principles of EIA 649\. • You will be expected to work closely with program leaders and lead multiple engineering groups to the best, unified solution that meets overall system performance requirements, cost, and schedule needs\. Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system\. Coordinates modification records for management control\. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor\. Reviews engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and others\. Ensures that customer requirements are implemented, approvals are captured, and compliant with configuration management policies\. • Support and process program design and change management production and development design information using LM Enterprise Product Data Management \(EPDM\) workflow program, including the use and implementation of associated change objects such as Change Tasks \(CTs\), Change Requests \(CRs\), or Change Notices \(CNs\)\. • Candidate will be responsible for the process of capturing and releasing classified documentation and models in accordance with the DOD Contract, and support the FBM team members with markings, formatting, and handling of any documentation as necessary\. • Provide general instruction, direction, coordination and implementation of configuration management requirements, policies, and practices pertaining to configuration identification \(i\.e\. baseline documentation, hardware, and software\) in accordance with business and contract requirements\. • Candidate will be responsible for capturing Electronic Data Files in classified and unclassified areas\. • Works under minimal supervision with strong attention to detail\. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions\. • Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems\. • Ability to contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects\. • Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of sophisticated problems and train others in their application\. **Basic Qualifications:** • Experience integrating and implementing Configuration Management program requirements\. • Drawing and/or CAD exposure and/or training to facilitate drawing and model reviews\. • Experience working DOD Production and Development programs\. • Government or Military customer experience and a understanding of DOD Contracts\. • At least 2 years of experience, or equivalent knowledge of Configuration Management hardware /design work\. • Ability to obtain Security Clearance **Desired Skills:** • Knowledge and understands how to apply EIA\-649, the National Consensus Standard for Configuration Management • Experience with design and Product Data Management tools including ePDM\. • Works with SharePoint, LiveLink, or other workgroup collaboration tools\. • Experience with electronic data vaulting and digital data handling using ePDM • Ability to quickly learn new tools and processes • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision • Proficient with and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\. **Clearance Level:** Secret **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\. **Schedule for this Position:** 9x80 every other Friday off **Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 \- $157,500\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\.
