The AP Technology Deployment group is seeking an engineer for the support of exciting New Plant opportunities. This engineer will be part of one of our AP300 Project Engineering team and progressively will engage on a vast set of nuclear power plant design topics (with a focus on New Plants Licensing activities and projects) in support to Westinghouse international new build market development and capture.

In particular, this engineer will be interfacing with the design team to support the fulfillment of UK GDA licensing requirements and the development of licensing strategies for project and regulatory challenges.

 

This role is part of our long-term strategy for UK to develop in-country licensing support and provides a solid development and growth opportunity for those seeking to develop as a technical leader or business leader, as support will go beyond one specific discipline spanning the new nuclear reactor design and support the development of a large network within Westinghouse.

 

What your day-to-day activities looks like:

 

Assess incoming UK regulators (ONR and EA) requests, develop a response plan Compile existing technical design information across various technical areas into reports Interact with our Westinghouse Licensing group, various engineering groups and other departments involved in a new project to drive the delivery of engineering and design commitments on time and with the appropriate quality Support various aspects of future bid and proposal efforts in various European countries

 

What we need to see from you:
