As a Senior Project Engineer for the FBM Weapons System Infrastructure & Capabilities (WSIC) team, you will lead the activation of a broad range of MilCon and Strategic Projects to support missile development and sustainment. You will serve as a key facilitator for the government, managing the execution process to ensure sustained program success. The team seeks motivated individuals to help activate upcoming MilCon and Strategic Projects, ensuring the future readiness and expansion of FBM D5 missile capabilities. Strategic Projects are non-MilCon efforts, such as technology upgrades or infrastructure improvements, that follow a similar activation process to MilCon projects.



In this role will offer you the following daily responsibilities:



• Lead the execution of MilCon and Strategic Projects across multiple program sites, ensuring alignment with project schedules and goals. Provide imaginative and thorough solutions to overcome technical challenges while ensuring alignment with organization objectives.
• Facilitate effective communication across inter-organizational teams (such as planning, systems, and design), government entities, end users, and outside customers (such as subcontractors and team partners) to ensure alignment and timely completion of project objectives.
• Drive project execution following established procedures, schedules, and work plans, while adapting to project needs to overcome barriers such as resource constraints, technical challenges, or shifting stakeholder requirements.
• Coordinate the oversight, integration, and successful completion of activation projects, managing key phases and deliverables while ensuring alignment with program objectives to prevent delays or additional resource expenditure.
• Ensure project requirements are effectively integrated into the design by collaborating with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with missile system requirements, and assessing the overall impact on project cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
• Brief senior leaders, stakeholders, and other key partners on project status and progress, ensuring clear communication of milestones and challenges, and representing the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.


Please note that this position does NOT support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Silverdale, WA, and will be expected to work in the office.
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Management, Construction Management, Systems Engineering, facility activation, or other relevant technical project roles, preferably in commercial, industrial, government, or military facilities.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education,
• Proven ability to contribute to and execute technical projects throughout different phases of the project lifecycle, from initial planning, through design, to final implementation or construction.
• You will need to be a US Citizen (no dual citizens), and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Desired Skills:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Proven and demonstrated leadership, organizational coordination, and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter capable of clear communication through multiple levels of senior and executive leadership with minimal supervision.
• Experience in briefing and interfacing with senior-level management and customers.
• Experience developing and executing Project Management Plans.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar experience preferred.
• Experience with leading multi-disciplined Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).
• Experience in the formulation of proposals and bases of estimate (BOE).
• Experienced in CAMship and Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
• Understanding of the A&E design process and providing oversight of engineering design packages.
• Experience preparing/reviewing the following facility engineering products: Statements of Work, Facility Design Criteria, Specification documents, and construction cost estimates.
• Experience functioning as a facilitator to align and coordinate stakeholder priorities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Familiarity with the MILCON process.
• Familiarity with FBM and D5 Missile processing operations.
• Proficiency in utilizing relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, REVIT, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), or equivalent software.
• Experience in the execution of engineering projects from start to finish.
• The ideal candidate will be organized, flexible, have strong interpersonal skills, take initiative, manage multiple tasks effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
