Project Engineer - Structural

Responsibilities Include:

Create structural plans, sections and details and develop designs or evaluate existing structures using computer analysis methods and hand calculations in accordance with applicable building codes, standards and specifications. Develop site plans, permitting drawings and basic grading and drainage designs and utility layouts. Review reports and drawings from other disciplines related to the projects. Conduct field reviews and observations and write summary reports. Review structural submittals, shop drawings and contractors request for information. Research permit requirements and local regulations. The candidate will participate in BLs leadership development programs and will have a unique opportunity to make a broad and significant contribution to BLs growth while advancing their leadership skills. The candidate will be expected to perform both structural and civil engineering work based on current project needs.

Required Experience:

B.S. in Civil Engineering EIT required 3+ years’ experience with design of building and/or other structures. Knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel and masonry design. Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and technical skills. Proficient in AutoCAD and knowledge in Revit, RAM Elements and other industry design platforms.
