Project Engineering Manager

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

\n\nManaging a team of 6-10 project engineers including work assignments, monitoring team member performance, writing and delivering performance reviews, mentoring team members, and managing career development\nSupporting the maturation of a growing organization by leading the development of standardized processes and templates\nCollaborating with program management, technical personnel, functional leadership and support organizations to drive the successful delivery of highly specialized systems\nEnsuring the application of project engineering best practices for a wide variety of projects from R&D to Manufacturing\nMentoring the project engineering team to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope for multi-disciplinary engineering teams on complex, high-value components and systems.\nUnderstanding the complex interactions between the business and technical requirements of a project so that you can provide guidance to the execution team and recommendations to the program manager when conflicts arise\nInteracting with internal and external customers to identify future business opportunities\n\n

YOU MUST HAVE:

\n\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics\nMinimum 10 years of technical project leadership experience\nU.S. citizenship is required due to contractual requirements. Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of security processing\nAbility to travel up to 10%\n\n

WE VALUE:

\n\nMaster’s degree or PhD in Systems Engineering, Software Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.\n15+ years of experience in engineering, research & development, manufacturing, or a related field\n5+ year of supervisor or people management experience\nMechanical system and cryogenics expertise\nAbility to mentor others on earned value management and lifecycle gated milestone development\nExpertise developing and managing project plans using standard tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Jira)\nExperience bringing designs from prototype to production\nExcellent ability to evaluate and understand business objectives and interact effectively with internal external customer leadership\nLean, Black Belt, and PMP Certifications\nProactive and resourceful self-starters with ability to multi-task\n\n

The annual base salary range for this position is  $136,000-$170,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
