Primary FunctionThe Project Engineering Manager will manage multiple project engineers and a multi-million dollar capital budget at our Ashland City residential water heater manufacturing facility. This will include managing the capital green sheet attainment, spend attainment, manage projects varying in complexity from small to medium from start to finish so that projects are completed on time and within budget. Mentoring engineers to perform the engineering team to work to complete assigned projects. Implementing an established project plan; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; identify, resolve, or escalate operational problems and minimize delays. Analyzing project requirements and performing calculations.
Responsibilities Mentor and lead the project engineering team Apply best practice engineering principles in the design and evaluation of production equipment Responsible for the cost, schedule, resources, and time needed to complete assigned projects. Set priorities, assigns tasks, and coordinates project team to meet project targets. Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer needs. Facilitate team activities and carry out necessary functions while providing management with feedback and status reports to ensure that critical decisions are made in a suitable and timely manner. Must be able to show the ability to lead a team to demo and install equipment on production floor. Qualifications Must have a 4-year Engineering degree minimum; Mechanical Engineering degree preferred Minimum 5-years of experience managing projects for the production floor (+5-years’ experience managing projects a plus) Must have excellent verbal, written, presentation, organizational skills (workflows and documentation), and attention to details Must be able to conduct project research, coordinate projects, and installation of new equipment – including weekends Must be initiative-taking and self-directed – able to work independently with a “production first” attitude Experience managing direct reports Experience is managing a capital/ spend budget Experienced AutoCAD user able to layout equipment and production cells and lines (Solid Works experience a plus) SAP experience a plus We OfferCompetitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits plans which include medical and dental insurance, company-sponsored life insurance, retirement security savings plan, short- and long-term disability programs and tuition assistance.
