The Space Security Division within Lockheed Martin Space’s Mission Solutions business area is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to drive the execution of multiple projects. This leader will directly and indirectly support the execution of the classified program. This position will report into the Engineering & Technology organization of Space. The leader will manage a team of ~10 engineers and have direct cost, execution, and schedule oversight.
• Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
• Responsible for ensuring that compliance tasks are completed in a timely manner and teaching and enforcing processes and procedures.
• Responsible for development and implementation of talent and capability roadmaps for the organization.
• Communications, including internal Staff Meetings and dissemination of information, both down and up.
• Assesses employee performance and conducts performance reviews, recognition/award activities, career discussions and disciplinary actions if needed.
• Review, approval and audit of time charges, audit and approval of travel and expense reports, address personnel issues, generate IOIs, and report status to management.
• The functional leadership portion of this position is estimated to be 25% of chargeable hours, with the remaining 75% being utilized as direct support to the program in a technical/leadership role.
Active TS/SCI with polygraph REQUIRED prior to start

Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated ability to inspire cooperation, confidence, and motivation of a team in stressful and dynamic environments
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical systems/programs
• Self-starter personality; ability to multitask
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph required prior to start
• Must be cleared to program to start
Desired Skills:
• Foxtrot program experience
• Demonstrated communication skills in interpersonal and group settings (internal and external) and as a technical presenter to large audiences
• Experience Interviewing, Hiring and Building Teams
• Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking
• Experience resolving complex issues by providing solutions which require ingenuity and creativity
• Experience establishing customer intimacy
• Problem solving, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work across sites
