Project Engineering Trainee - Alcalà de Henanes (Madrid)

Ecolab is currently seeking a Project Engineer Trainee to join our Industrial Engineering team in Madrid (Alcalá de Henares Office).

What You Will Do:

Support the equipment engineering & automation projects from enquiry, initial scoping, basic design through to detailed engineering, supply, commissioning & start-up as required by the project manager/team.

Work closely with the main Nalco partners/vendors and interface with third-party equipment providers as required.

Technical and admin tasks related to proposal preparation, documentation, back-office, system design, project scoping, project development and execution of new equipment solutions and automation opportunities.

Project control and expediting tasks.

Document control.

Ensure compliance with project KPIs (safety, quality, costs and time) and compliance with all Nalco Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.

Qualifications required

Educational Background: A degree in engineering, such as mechanical, process, chemical, or electrical/automation engineering, is acceptable. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management can be beneficial.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as MS Office, Adobe PDF edition, AutoCAD, and project management software like MS Project, is a plus.

Fluent in English.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Problem Solving attitude.

Autocad/drafting knowledge is a plus.

The position is based in the Alcalá de Henares office. A valid license and own vehicle are required.

Project Management Skills: Familiarity with project management methodologies and the ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for collaborating with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

Teamwork and Collaboration: The ability to work well in a team and collaborate with various departments, such as procurement, construction, and quality assurance, is essential.

Risk Management: Understanding how to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks associated with EPC projects is important and a plus .

Contract Management: Knowledge of different types of contracts used in EPC projects and the capability to understand and manage purchase orders, including scope of work, delivery times, payment terms, and main contractual requirements.
