**Job Title: Construction Estimator** **Job Description** We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for projects by gathering blueprints, specifications, and other related documents. You will compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements while ensuring the profitability and competitiveness of bids. Additionally, you will monitor ongoing projects, maintain vendor and client relationships, and collaborate with the Sales Team to meet company sales goals. **Responsibilities** + Gather all blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other related documents. + Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, time requirements, setbacks, and over/under runs. + Accurately determine a proper bid proposal, ensuring both market environment and profit are incorporated into pricing. + Present prepared estimates concisely, with accurate numerical information and descriptive data. + Monitor ongoing jobs to continuously meet labor, material, and profit goals. + Maintain updated cost data on labor and material to ensure competitiveness and profitability. + Establish and maintain relationships with all applicable vendors to ensure competitive pricing. + Assist in resolving discrepancies between clients and General Contractors. + Visit job sites or other locations to understand the scope of work needed and minimize errors fully. **Essential Skills** + Experience in construction estimation and project management. + Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding commercial construction processes. + Strong knowledge of bidding processes and construction estimating. + Excellent analytical and numerical skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. **Why Work Here?** We offer a competitive commission incentive of 1% paid out over the minimum gross margin.
